Our History
A Look at Redeeming Love Word Ministries
The Beginning
Our Journey
The ministry’s journey began at 1201 E. Green Drive, where Pastor Bass delivered his first message on January 21, 2007, emphasizing themes of justice, redemption, and understanding. As the congregation grew, so did the need for a larger space. This led to a relocation to 1329 Kimery Drive near Five Points, and eventually to 2757 Granville Street, where the church transformed a gymnasium into a sanctuary twice a week.
In 2013, Redeeming Love Word Ministries became a mobile church, adapting to various locations and continuing to serve the community through events like marriage retreats, youth ministry, and prison ministry. The purchase of 33 acres of land in Thomasville, NC, marked a significant milestone, bringing the ministry closer to fulfilling the vision God had given to its leaders.
High Point Transformation
After several moves, the ministry found a permanent home in downtown High Point. In July 2016, Redeeming Love Word Ministries purchased and transformed the old Merchant’s Association building at 740 N. Main Street. This miracle transformation was a testament to the congregation’s faith and dedication.
On July 23, 2017, the new facility was dedicated by Bishop Stenneth E. Powell, Sr., marking the beginning of a new chapter. The ministry continued to grow, with initiatives like the RLWM Kingdom Kids, community vegetable garden, and various outreach programs.
Looking Ahead
As Redeeming Love Word Ministries celebrates its 18th anniversary, the congregation reflects on its journey, accomplishments, and the future. The ministry has always been about more than just services and programs; it’s about making everything count for eternity and the glory of God. With a focus on acceleration and increase, the church looks forward to continuing its mission of healing, deliverance, and demonstrating the unconditional love of God.
From humble beginnings to a thriving community, the story of Redeeming Love Word Ministries is a testament to faith, perseverance, and the transformative power of their savior Jesus Christ.
