Pastor Darryell W. Bass
Superintendent Darryell Bass is the Senior Pastor of Redeeming Love Word Ministries located in High Point, NC. This ministry was birthed through prayer by his spiritual father Apostle Otis Lockett, Sr. in December 2006. Before being sent out by Apostle Lockett in January of 2007, Pastor Bass served as a faithful member at Evangel Fellowship from July 1987-2007. During that time, he held various leadership positions within the ministry such as Netcare Leader, Asst. Sunday School Superintendent, and Chairman of the Advisory Board. In addition, he was an instructor for Evangel Fellowship Bible College, School of Leaders, Men’s Encounter, as well as, Administrative Assistant to Apostle Lockett at Evangel Christian Center (former Church Street Location) and at Evangel Fellowship (Reidsville, N.C). Superintendent Bass and First Lady Karen Bass also currently serve as Directors of Marriage Enrichment for the North Carolina Second Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of the Church of God In Christ.
Pastor Bass has been married for over 37 years to his lovely wife Karen and they are the proud parents of two beautiful young ladies, Charisma and Charity

Karen Bass
First Lady Karen Bass serves as the First Lady of Redeeming Love Word Ministries, Inc., located in High Point, NC. A proud alumna of North Carolina A&T State University, where she met and married her college sweetheart, Superintendent Darryell W. Bass.
From July 1987 to December 2006, Lady Bass was a devoted member of Evangel Word Ministries, where she and her husband faithfully served in various leadership roles. Their responsibilities included serving as Netcare Leaders, Children’s Ministry Teachers, Assistant Sunday School Superintendents, Encounter Guides, and Growing in Christ Instructors. Additionally, Lady Bass served on the Women’s Executive Board. She also worked closely with First Lady Barbara T. Lockett at both Evangel Christian Center (formerly on Church Street) and Evangel Fellowship in Reidsville, NC.
Currently, Lady Karen Bass is the President of the High Point Chapter of Women In Ministry (WIM) International. She is passionate about equipping women for ministry—starting in the home, extending to the local church, and reaching globally. One of her signature initiatives is a monthly gathering called G.I.R.L. Talk (Growing Intimate Relationships that Last), hosted through the Women’s Department of Redeeming Love Word Ministries. These sessions combine biblical instruction with practical life experience and community outreach.
Lady Bass has led impactful outreach efforts throughout the High Point area, partnering with organizations such as The Leslie House (a women’s homeless shelter), the Women’s Detention Center, Evergreens Senior Healthcare Facility, Sunbridge Healthcare Facility, and events at the Oak Hollow Mall.
She is also the co-author of the best-selling book, Don’t Lose the “Wo” in WOman, and balances her ministry with a full-time career as a Revenue Cycle Manager. In addition, she is a dedicated mother and entrepreneur.
Lady Karen Bass has been happily married for over 36 years to Superintendent Darryell W. Bass. Together, they are the proud parents of two daughters, Charisma and Charity, and doting grandparents to their granddaughter, Makayli.
